Red Bull Honda World Superbike team prepare for emotional round

The Pata UK Round will be a tough weekend for the Red Bull Honda World Superbike Team, but theyare preparing to race in Nicky Hayden’s honour, who tragically lost his life at the beginning of the week.

Focusing on Hayden’s passion in life – racing, the team will be present to honour his life as the series heads into an emotional weekend. Hayden’s Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade SP2 will be present within the pit box over the weekend alongside the team and Stefan Bradl, as he will be the sole rider for round six of the championship.

German rider Bradl is understandably prepared for a difficult weekend, but will be pushing his hardest for the American’s memory: “This weekend is going to be very difficult for everybody. Nicky was a racer, was born and raised into a racing family and all his life was about enjoying racing, so we will be here to keep his passion alive and pay tribute to him the best possible way. Donington is a track I know from my time in the 125cc World Championship, and I have raced here twice already. As I said it won’t be an easy round, but we will do our best in his name.”

Keep up with all the action on track with the WorldSBK VideoPass, available here. With an updated time schedule this weekend, WorldSBK racing action will commence at 15.00h LT.
